Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner Theresa Longo Discusses Cool Sculpting

– Hi, I’m Theresa Longo, here to give you some information on CoolSculpting. I like to refer to CoolSculpting
as body contouring. It is a unique, non-surgical
way to remove unwanted pockets of visible body fat through a procedure called cryolipolysis. This procedure brings targeted fat cells to temperatures so cold that they freeze and ultimately die. The fat cells are in turn
slowly eliminated from the body, producing a 20-25% reduction of fat over a period of two to six months. Since the number of fat
cells our body produces ceases at puberty, the results of
CoolSculpting are permanent. The length of the procedure is short. It’s generally 35 to 90
minutes, well-tolerated, and without any downtime. In fact, most patients go
back to work or exercise the very same day. At this time, there are nine
FDA-approved treatment sites: under the chin and jawline, thigh, abdomen, flank, bra and back fat, underneath the buttocks and upper arm. Upon consultation and closely listening
to each patient’s needs, a specific treatment plan will be tailored to produce the best possible results.
